• The Rating System: Reviews reflect user opinions. If a worker believes a review is false or defamatory, they may seek legal recourse against the reviewer, not SkoffelJobs.
• The "Gold" Verification: Our Gold badge indicates a police clearance was obtained on a specific date ("snapshot in time"). It is not a permanent guarantee of future behavior.
• Video CVs: Users are responsible for the content they upload. Defamatory or offensive content in videos may result in legal liability for the uploader.

We are committed to maintaining a safe community. Under the Namibian Communications Act 8 of 2009, we have a proactive system to address offensive or harmful content.

• Use the "Report" button on any review or content that violates our guidelines
• We will review reported content promptly
• Users who post harmful content may be suspended or banned

Our platform operates under Namibian law. Key considerations:

• Defamation: Under Namibian common law, defamatory statements (including online reviews) can lead to civil liability for damages.
• Truth & Public Interest: Reviews that are honest opinions based on real interactions, made in the public interest, may constitute a defense.
• Reference Letters: Employers providing references should limit information to factual data (dates, job title, salary) to avoid defamation claims.
• Fair Comment: Our rating system is designed for fair comment—honest opinions based on real experiences are protected.
